Azaria

 Sorry Wendy Harmer, your apology is refused , it came very late.Azaria's body disappeared, the mother sent to prison for three years and now she's innocent. I think, death is not  funny to do jokes about. it is a very serious issue and you should respect and admire it. if don't like to respect death, you should respect the passion of  the mother who lost her daughter and her family too.
when I heart the interview with Linda, i felt she  really is innocent from the sound from her breath'. Whether this  mother is guilty or not, I learnt from this story that you should not Jude before the evidence isr clearly presented.

World No Tobacco Day

World No Tobacco Day created  to attire the world's attention and raise awareness  about the widespread of tobacco which is the responsible of death for many people . the member states of the World Health Organization (WHO) run this day for the first time in1987. Since then, every year WHO select one theme related to tobacco  trying to show the effect of tobacco on the health,and supporting people who want to quit. This year, there are many website was created, and lots of brochures, flies and poster was distributed on the public to persude them to quit and how to quit . At this time, i encourge every smoker to start to quit.

                                              

Mother's Day

                                                             

   Do you know a word more beautiful than "mum"? Do you feel and understand it? Do you have anyone who likes and supports you more than your mother? Who makes your food, washes your clothes and stays all the night near your bed when you are sick? For that and more there are Mother's Day.

 

The earliest Mother's Day celebration was related to the spring festival to honor Rhean, the mother of the Gods , in Greek civilisation. Later,Christians celebrated this day on the fourth Sunday related to honor of Mary, mother of Christ and it was called Mothering Sunday. However, in the modern times Julia Ward Howe and Anna Jarvis had the essential responsibility to bring this day  into existence. Today,the festival of Mothers day is celebrated across 46 countries but on different dates and way.s The most common dates is in March, April or May. For example, in Australia,Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday in May. This event was first started by Mrs Janet Heyden in 1924 . In Lebanon,  mother's day is on the first day of Spring on 21 of March. 

Children take the day as an opportunity to honor their mothers and  thank them for their efforts  giving them life, helping them to and for supporting them. on this day most families meet and share dinner together. Then,  they give their mothers presents and best wishes. Flowers, chocolates, cakes and cards are the most  popular gifts.

Now , I like to say happy Mother's Day to every mother around the world. you are the best presents from god to us.

Mortal punshment

In Alaska, a mother and her boyfriend were charged with manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide .  They trapped two girls (a one had one old and other three year old) overnight in their locked bedroom with opened window where the temperature was minus 24 degrees Celsius. The three year old was found died and the second one was  moved to hospital and she suffered from hypothermia. The boyfriend said he was drinking  and he opened the window  to air the room because the girls had wet their beds.

 

 In this story, and in the two other similar stories, the victims were children and the murderers were the parents. The reason for the crimes was punishment and neglect. On the other hand there are some differences between them.
For example, in the first story, the reason  for the death was hypothermia; in the second story it was starvation, and in the last story it was dehydration. Moreover two of children were have a chance to survive but one died.

 Harmony Day 

 

Australia is one of places which consist of a huge amount of diverse cultures. People come from all over the world from different countries, cultures and beliefs to live in Australia together in peace regardless of their background. This diversity makes Australia a great place to live.

On 21^st March 1999, Harmony day was created for the first time to give Australians the chance to celebrate their cultural diversity.

Harmony day is managed by the department of Immigration and Citizenship. The 21^st March is also the international day for the elimination of racial discrimination.

This year the Harmony Day theme was “Sport: play, engage,inspire”. The purpose is to encourage people to participate in sport and feel every one belong to this country. Orange is the colour chosen to represent Harmony Day.

 Australians from all walks of life celebrate this event to say we are all Australian, we have the same rights and responsibilities, and we understand diversity.

The ANZAC Day

The ANZAC is the day when the Australian and New Zealand  armies  landed on Gallipoli in Turkey during the War World I on 25 April 1915. This is the most important Event  in Australia's history.  It is a public holiday. Every year Australian celebrate this day widely to remember and thank those people who sacrificed  themselves to defend and keep their country safe. Many cities in Australia  march and have other event. People come wearing ANZAC badges and waving  Australian flags, and some of them lay flowers and wreaths at the bottom of a war memorial to say  we remember these brave people and never forget them.

Clean up Australian Day

Clean up Australia day was born for the first time in 1989 by Ian Kiernan as a simple idea” to make a difference in his own backyard - Clean up Sydney Harbour”. Ian received an enormous support from his committee of friends, including Clean Up co founder Kim McKay, and more than 40,000 volunteers gave their time and energy to clean up the Harbour. Ian and Kim liked to spread Clean Up Australia Day to the rest of the world and they realised their goal in 1993 after receiving the support from the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

Clean up Australia Day has grow up to have many days: Clean Up Australia Day, Business Clean Up Day, Business Clean Up Day. This year clean Up Australia Day was on Sunday, 4 March 2012, Business Clean Up Day was on Tuesday 28 February 2012 and school Clean Up Day was on Friday 2 March 2012.

Nowadays, this event has become the largest and biggest national environmental event in Australia. More than hundreds of thousands of volunteers from different walks of life run to join t their local clean up the environment event to collect rubbish. There are more than 7200 Clean-up Sites has registered across the country for Clean up Australia day 2012. 

For safety, Clean Up Australia advises that all volunteers dress appropriately for the weather, including closed toe shoes, and bring with you a hat, pair of gloves, sunscreen, water, eye protection and emergency contact details.

In my suburb there are many sites to clean up. Some of them :  Oatley Pleasure Grounds, and McD- Poulon Park.

Clean up Australia could not act without the support of volunteers, local Councils and sponsors. If you are interested in joining as a volunteer you can register to the Clean Up site online, by telephone or on the day by completing the volunteer registration form. If you can’t take the first step, you can be involved by donating to help support the efforts of Clean Up volunteers or by buying a green gift. Moreover clean up Australia has a relation with the number of organisations who see eye to eye about a healthier and cleaner environment.
